”I worked closely with Robert Sachs and the team at Glenpar for 15 years while I was the CEO of Esprit / Red Earth Group of Australasia. In that time Esprit was transformed from a wholesale entity to a fully fledged retail business operating over a hundred stand - alone stores and concession stores in the two major department stores in Australia. I remember one of the first things Rob did for us was convert our concept drawings into detailed construction documentation to assist our building tenders. He invited a number of suitable candidates to submit proposals, and he then helped us make informed decisions by carefully explaining all the pros and cons of each option. As someone newer to the building and construction process, this was invaluable.
Rob had worked with both builders we selected previously, and there's no doubt this de-risked the process for us in many respects. It was clear there was a sense of mutual trust and respect associated with both engagements, and this meant costs were kept to a minimum, our work often got prioritised over competing projects, and the quality of workmanship was definitely higher than it would have otherwise been. Throughout both building processes Rob also kept a very close eye on both projects. There were no shortcuts, nor were there any surprises.
Anyone who has worked with Rob knows that he is a true gentleman. His morals and ethics are of the highest standard, and he also has a calming demeanor which I always found very reassuring. My experience was that Rob genuinely puts his heart into projects…he truly 'cares'.
